Founding partners

Help useful goods go further.

We're looking for practical partnerships that make sense on both sides. Suitable stock, space, expertise and start-up support can help establish a dependable local enterprise while creating value for the organisations involved.

You might have a recurring stream of recoverable goods, an underused space, specialist skills to share or the means to fund a useful next step. We would welcome a conversation.

A local recovery route for suitable stock.

Selective auction purchases and the charity-shop electricals pilot are our two immediate stock routes. Alongside them, we want to develop agreed streams with retailers, trade suppliers and authorised logistics operators, including returned, surplus, incomplete and damaged goods.

Our proposed collection approach uses small, planned electric-van loads from participating sites. Where the arrangements fit, collecting an agreed load as it builds up could free storage space and reduce unnecessary handling or onward movement.

We need a useful recovery mix, agreed categories and clear responsibility for unsuitable material. Stock must be authorised for transfer and intended reuse or resale. Items containing lithium batteries are excluded; unknown battery chemistry must be resolved before acceptance.

A focused first collection gives both sides a chance to understand the work involved, the useful outcomes and the practical value of continuing.

Could you help give the work a home?

We're seeking secure storage, practical workspace and, where possible, a small retail area in Muirkirk. These don't need to be in the same building. A suitable cupboard, cabinet or agreed area in shared premises could also support the early work.

Initially, we're looking for low-cost arrangements with agreed contributions towards the utilities and other costs attributable to our use. Our aim is to move towards fair-market rental or purchase as the enterprise develops, beginning those longer-term conversations with the people who help us get established.

We want arrangements that work for both sides. Our local commitment remains the same if premises change: the Muirkirk operation stays rooted in the community that helped build it.

Talk about space

Start a charity-shop electricals pilot with us.

We're preparing a small pilot for selected electrical donations from charity shops. It can progress alongside auction parcels, without waiting for a direct parcel or returns supply partnership.

The proposed arrangement is straightforward: agree suitable items, prepare and assess them competently, sell accepted goods and return the agreed share of net proceeds to the source charity. Items containing lithium batteries, including built-in cells, are excluded.

Before collection, we agree ownership, responsibilities, deductible costs, the share and payment schedule, and a route for unsold or unsuitable goods. LogStock will support item records, with a linked settlement record for each charity.

We welcome suitably experienced electrical specialists to help deliver the pilot through agreed paid or voluntary support. A manageable first batch will let both sides review the time, costs and results before expanding.

Help build worthwhile opportunities.

Colleges, training providers, employers and support organisations can help turn the work into meaningful experience. We're interested in practical and digital skills, creative portfolios, supported participation and routes towards employment.

An opportunity should be useful to the participant as well as the enterprise. We want to work with partners who can help provide the supervision, feedback and support needed to make that happen.

Support a practical next step.

Start-up funding and in-kind support can help provide secure storage, suitable benches and tools, specialist electrical time, volunteer support and the systems needed to prepare and sell stock properly.

We're looking for support that helps trading become dependable, rather than growth for its own sake. A contribution towards a specific capability can make a lasting difference to what the local enterprise is able to do.
